DC Mayor Painted Black Lives Matter On The Road, Activist Call It A Distraction

WASHINGTON DC– Mayor Muriel Bowser on Friday had “Black Lives Matter” painted on the street that leads to the White House where protesters have been protesting the murder George Floyd in police custody.

The chief of staff from mayor Bowser, John Falcicchio, Said in a tweet “Mayor Bowser wanted to make it abundantly clear that this is DC’s street and to honor demonstrators who (were) peacefully protesting on Monday evening.”

However, Black Lives Matter in DC are not interested in short term victories. they replied in a tweet saying that this a distraction from real policy change, specially done to appease white liberals while ignoring black issues.
