Virginia Police Detained A Man For Doing Cardiovascular Exercises

In the video, Virginia police officer Don Daryl ( Badge #137) approached a Virginia man demanding Identification after he noticed him shadow boxing, next to a light pole. The man declined to hand over his ID because the officer couldn’t articulate a reasonable suspicion. However, The officer claims Rodriguez vs United States is a Supreme Court decision that give him the authority to detain whomever he wants but that’s not true.

The issue in “Rodriguez v. United States” was whether a dog search violated the defendant’s Fourth Amendment right to be free from unreasonable seizures. The case had nothing to do with whether the defendant was required to identify himself to the police. This stop had to do with prejudice plus power but luckily this man knew his right and was not afraid to stand up for them
